SHARE provides a variety of training and organisational development activities. Currently there are three calendars which cover:

• Committee training
• Staff training
• IT training

In addition SHARE organises in-house training as well as facilitating review days, strategy days and teambuilding events for members.

SHARE is based at Kirkhaven Church at Duke Street Glasgow where we have excellent training facilities including an IT training suite which provides training on all the standard computer packages.

SHARE runs a very successful Annual Conference at Peebles Hydro Hotel where over 240 delegates attend workshops from a Friday evening to a Sunday lunchtime.

•  A one-stop service which gives access to a wide range of tried and tested trainers and consultants who are experts in their field, be it housing, or management and organisational development. SHARE will endeavour to source any training a member requires either by arranging a specific course or delivering an in-house session.
• A Governing Body development session - a short structured session with a member's management committee which will identify skills and knowledge gaps. It will form the basis of a committee development plan for the organisation that will link training to strategic objectives
• IT Training Needs Analysis - a check on your staff's levels of knowledge and skill in relation to IT and recommendations for further training if necessary.
• Access to a wide range of training courses for staff and committee at member’s rate
• Standard or customised in-house training at member’s rates
• Access to one of the best residential conferences in the social housing sector at Peebles Hotel Hydro
• Assistance with organisational development, improving communication and planning through Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) personality questionnaire and coaching as well as facilitating review, strategy and teambuilding days all at competitive rates for members.
• Access to Chairs network, Lunch n’Learn for senior staff, HR network, Admin Forum and IT Forum – all free to members
•  Access to European Computer Driving Licence training and testing at competitive rates
• SVQs in Customer Service and Administration at competitive rates to members.
