SHARE Membership
SHARE is run by staff and committee of housing associations for the benefit of staff and committee of housing associations. SHARE contributes to strengthening and supporting the social housing sector - money invested in training at SHARE stays in the housing sector.
Benefits of Membership
· SHARE is a one-stop service which gives access to a wide range of tried and tested trainers and consultants who are experts in their field, be it housing, management or organisational development. At the last count SHARE had over 200 trainers on its database. SHARE will endeavour to source any training a member requires either by arranging a specific course or delivering an in-house session.
· Two visits a year by SHARE to discuss your staff and committee training needs. This allows for a personal discussion of your organisation’s learning aims and gives the benefits of sharing what is working well elsewhere along with information on how other associations are handling particular issues.
· A Governing Body development session - a short structured session with your management committee which will identify skills and knowledge gaps. It will form the basis of a committee development plan for your organisation that will link training to strategic objectives.
· IT Training Needs Analysis - a check on your staff's or committee’s levels of knowledge and skill in relation to IT and recommendations for further training if necessary.
· Exclusive members only access to one of the best residential conferences in the social housing sector at Peebles Hotel Hydro.
· Access to training materials for internal use.
· Significantly discounted rates for training, review days, strategy days and teambuilding events at SHARE or other venues.
· Assistance with organisational development, improving communication and planning. SHARE is certified to deliver the Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) personality questionnaire, the Mental Toughness MTQ 48 on-line tool and the Belbin Team role tool.
· Free Networking Events - Chairs network, informal sessions for senior staff such as Lunch ‘n’ Learn, HR Network, Admin Forum and IT Forum – all free to members.
· European Computer Driving Licence training and testing.
· SVQs in Customer Service, Business Administration and Health and Social Care.
· Event Management at competitive rates.
· Investors in People accreditation. SHARE has been IIP accredited for ten years and is qualified to prepare and support associations applying for accreditation, and can provide Health Checks prior to re-recognition.
