Janet Barnes’ early career was as a housing worker, she went on to become a specialist in benefits advice and ran Liverpool City Council benefits advice service. Janet studied debt in detail while managing Liverpool City Council Anti-Poverty Unit. Janet and her team developed a practical approach to supporting those with multiple debts, especially those with rent arrears facing eviction. In her Creative Warden Management course Janet combines her craft interests and skills with her knowledge of the needs of people in supported accommodation.
