MENTAL TOUGHNESS (MTQ48)
A new Psychometric test has been developed to measure Mental Toughness (MTQ48) by Dr Peter Clough and his colleagues at the University of Hull and AQR Ltd.
It provides a reliable and quick assessment of an individual’s ability to withstand pressure in a range of workplace environments. It measures mental toughness in terms of 4 core components:
· control – the extent to which we feel in control of our lives and our emotions
· challenge – how we respond to challenge and unplanned change
· commitment – how we respond to (demanding) goals and targets
· confidence – in our abilities and in our dealings with others
One of the key benefits to organisations is understanding what their people need to do to respond more effectively to the pressures of work in today’s world of work.
