In January 2009, Stuart Eglinton established SE Training to build on the skills, knowledge and experience gained from working in training and events for the past 12 years. After two years spent working in the Southern General Hospital’s Training and Events Department, he joined the Scottish Federation of Housing Associations in 1999 where he filled a variety of front-line delivery roles including In-house Training Consultant and Training and Events’ manager.
He is an extremely experienced and highly effective trainer/facilitator. His skills were developed through the delivery of a wide array of training services including conference plenary/workshop sessions, central training sessions, tailored training sessions and facilitation of numerous one-off sessions. His experience as a trainer is demonstrated by the fact that during his last 18 months with the SFHA he designed, developed and delivered a wide range of tailored training for over 50 associations.
He also has vast experience of all elements of the training cycle including: identification of training needs, training design / development / delivery and evaluation techniques. This experience allowed him to develop, from scratch, a Skills Audit service that has been successfully rolled out to several staff and committee groups.
In June 2002, he successfully completed the Certificate in Training Practice with the CIPD of whom he is an associate member.
