Description:	Action Learning Sets for Chairs Wednesdays 19 May and 2 June (2 more dates to be agreed) 5.30 – 7.45pm Trainer: Shirley Otto Who’s it for and what’s it all about? SHARE’s Action Learning Set for Chairs was once described as one of the best courses SHARE delivers. It returns after a break of two years. Action Learning is different from conventional training but it is recognised as an excellent way of increasing learning, developing skills and sharing experience. It is designed for existing Chairs, vice Chairs, Chairs of Sub Committees and committee members who may in future become a Chair. Participation over the four evenings will give you some new tools, techniques and insights to use in your role as Chair and make you more confident about your responsibilities. Some of the issues that might be discussed and have been discussed in previous sets are: · Effective chairing of meetings · Relationships with Director and senior staff · Relationships with Committee colleagues · Being a leader in the organisation · Who will succeed you as Chair? · Dealing with difficult people · Having a strategic input Members £180 Non Members £320
