Who’s it for and what’s it about?

It is estimated that one in four of us in the UK will experience a diagnosable mental health condition in any given year. The figure for those who suffer from a mental health problem may be higher than this as not everyone seeks treatment. Mental health and wellbeing is so important to our experience of life and spending time learning about it can contribute to increasing our sense of wellbeing and helping us look out for each other.

This half day course will raise awareness of the main aspects of mental health, associated problems that people experience and the kind of support that can help people deal with the challenges they face.

Course Content

  • What is mental health
